Current initiatives are focused on cooking and food skills education for youth, seniors, and families receiving the Kitchen Restore kitchenware starter kits. We need people to help plan and implement educational programming, sort and package kitchenware kits, and help with social media.

Current initiatives are focused on adding more Blessing Boxes in the county, seeking additional free communal meal sites in high needs neighborhoods in Manhattan and rural communities, and creating solutions to get food to people and lowering barriers of getting people to food. We need volunteers to build Blessing Boxes, help stock boxes, serve as a new free communal meal site, help create a solution to make it easier for people to access food, such as a mobile pantry, and assist with communications to the public for better awareness of food distribution opportunities.
