The Willow Lake Student Farm strives to provide quality produce and educational opportunities to the K-State campus and Manhattan communities. With a focus on sustainable food production, the farm serves as a site for undergraduate and graduate research, student engagement, and production of a variety of fruit, vegetable, and mushroom crops. Supported by a combination of staff, student leadership, and community volunteers, the Student Farm sells its produce to the universityâ€™s dining centers and a seasonal campus farm stand. Produce not sold to support its operating expenses are donated through partnerships with the Cats’ Cupboard and Flint Hills Breadbasket.
